I wouldn't say that 9/11 is the best example of that. When you put terrorism into the mix, the waters get muddy (it's not always fueled by religion). But I do agree with you religion can kill. Dogma can lead to judgement and alienation. And nothing much good comes from it. And that's not how it was supposed to be.

The Lord never meant it to be about setting up a belief system or dogma, he meant to start another way of living, one that was in dynamic pursuit of knowing Him. Religion leads to lack of thought or rationality. Following after the Lord is just that, a journey into the unknown.

Thanks for stopping by man!

Hypocrisy plagues all belief systems. I am an atheist. For me it is not so much hypocrisy that alienates me from a theistic world view as it is the consequences of living one's life according to immutable dogma rather than rationality. For example, 9/11 created a lot of atheists and the believers that committed that atrocity were devouts, not hypocrites. Indeed, in the absence of committed belief, i.e. faith, in a religious doctrine 9/11 would not have been possible since there would have been no context by which that act would make sense.

Peace Be With You.

Its your actions that say what you really believe.

Its your unbelief that is your sin, your actions are just the natural results of your heart.

Its not what you do that is your sin, its why!

Let your confession be of your unbelieving heart.

To confess your outward actions is not a true confession of sin.

The church is full of pretenders "wolves in sheep's clothing" those who confess Jesus with their mouths but their hearts are far from Him.

Still the world is without excuse, though most are false, God has His chosen few who deny them selves and take up their crosses and follow after Him, living out His life to their own death.
