I talked with Craig James former ESPN, CBS and now ABC sports guy. I saw him in Aspen, CO. He commented about my Bama cap and said he almost went to Bama. He was one of the nicest guys.
Rick Warren sent me a hand written note.
Bear Bryant went to my church
I’ve talked to Joe Namath.
Jeff Rutledge (Bama, NY Giants, LA Rams, Wash Redskins) has eaten at my house.
Shirley Phelps Roper (Westboro Baptist Church) I interviewed her last summer.
I couldnt comment the other entry so i’ll leave it here. I love the Braves too..they are lookin’ good even though they are 8-4 now..lost their last 2 games I belive. I’m thinking they will win it all this year..even though its still early.
I really want to know what made Asner call you a bastard…hehe
back in the days when the internet was in its infancy (I was like 16), they had a celebrity q & a in on aol and you could ask them questions. I asked him was it hard for a chubby bald man to make a living in hollywood. so then he replied…
he’s the only responder who I didn’t meet in person.
hahahahah….nice. And now that I am curious…can you tell us about Baldwin?
Baldwin I met back in 99 when I was an intern for a film production company. We were at Sundance film festival (before it was big). I saw Alec Baldwin leaving a premiere and he wouldn’t talk to anyone. So I ran over and said, “Mr Baldwin all I want to do is shake your hand. I’d be honored if you’d let me.” He paused and turned to me to shake. I stuck out my hand (secretly I had my business card in it) and shook. As we let go, I transferred the card from my hand to his. He looked down and laughed and then said….
I gotta give it to you dude…you do have them
I’d say that the best moment I’ve had with a “famous” person was when Steve Taylor high-fived me (being right in front of him in the crowd) after the very last song on his very last concert he did on the Liver tour here in Dayton.
That is awesome!
Danny Devito asked me, “Ricardo, what do you think?” I sat in thought and responded, “I think the episode is missing background noise of an office. It feels like there is dead-silence in the background.” All of this dialogue in his kitchen.
Devito is crazy!
