Early this morning, we piled the whole family in the van and drove 150 miles down south today to buy a Kawasaki Ninja. I’ve been looking for one for a little while to cut down on gas mileage (it averages 65-85 mpg). And yesterday we found one! It was a real quick deal and and answer to prayer. I’ll take more pictures in the light tomorrow.

  1. I grew up in Marietta. I am looking at getting a bike from my neighbor… he is wanting to sell his and I am wanting to save on gas as well… so how much did yours cost ya? My neighbors has about 5000 miles on it… and it is in pretty good condition… it is an Intruder, so it is not a speed bike like yours… it is a v twin.

  2. The Rice Rocket looks like Fun!!!!

  3. I’m trying to move that way. Although my Honda gets 120 mpg

  4. Can you go on the hwy?

  5. hey stuart,

i was thinking of doing the same thing then I realized that if i payed 2Gs for a bike this summer that is still 2Gs that I am out. Which would buy a lot of gas…even at 5.00 a gallon. So I would be saving gas but not money, that is until five years from now. Interesting equation I thought.

  6. Gotta do a commute confessional on that thing!

  7. Chad, mine was down in the 2k range but it’s a 250 (it gets around fine on the hwy). If it’s been maintained 5k miles isn’t a bad thing. Twin V - you’ll have some fun with that. I sold my car about a year and a half ago to start riding. I’ve loved it.

  8. Hey Nathan… you want my old Sabre for cheap?

  9. Thanks for this post!
