In the history of bad ideas, this is not the worst one, but it may be close…

A new Knight Rider? How can you replace the Hoff? Aren’t there any new (and good) ideas out there? I’m just waiting now for the updated version of Manimal or Automan. We can only hope.

So any other bad 80’s shows that shouldn’t be remade?

Ahhh, there’s nothing I love to laugh at more than Christian cheese. Now, let me say this first. I love the Lord. I just think that most of Christian culture is ridiculous, especially in how they choose portray Christ.

Words don’t do this justice. So just check out this page to enjoy.

My oh my! Um. Yeah. Uh….

There’s not much to say for this one. I know I’ve had my share of foot in the mouth situations, but this takes the cake.

But I’ll share a doozie of my own. I was preaching about the virtues of Mary, the mother of Jesus. I was going from the scripture when the angel appears to Mary and she was afraid. So I proceed to go off into a rant on angels. I was ripping our culture’s view of either fat little babies with wings or long haired women as angels. In the Bible, they are creatures to be feared. Men fall down shaking in their presence, etc.

So I’m ranting on angles and how ridiculously we like to portray them. Then, I began to rip on the tv show,Touched by an Angel. And I happened to say, “and why would God use a stupid woman.”

Now, I fully well meant that the view of a soft cushy feminine angel depicted in the show is so far from who angels are scripturally. And the “stupid woman” remark was aimed at Roma Downey and her awful, cheesy portrayal of an angel. That’s what I meant, but boy, it didn’t come out wrong.

Any great foot in the mouth stories from you?
