Aida’s PrizePosted by: stuartdelony in Aida Delony, Blogroll, Children, family, kids, knitting, life, musings of a home engineer, people, prize
I won this poncho off of the Musings of A Home Engineer’s blog. Kristina knit this and it is beautiful. Considering it was made for a girl ages 2-4, I decided to give up my prize. It looks much better on Aida. She loves her new poncho. So thanks Kristina! We love it! Tags: blog, kids, knitting, prize

Snowy SundayPosted by: stuartdelony in Blogroll, Children, family, kids, life, people, snowmen
It started snowing early this morning. It was sticking on the roads so we didn’t make it to church. But the kids got to enjoy it before it started to melt off later in the afternoon. Here are two of their creations. Tags: snow

Great QuestionPosted by: stuartdelony in Blogroll, Children, great question, kids, life, people, question
I’m taking some vacation days this week. While I was playing with my 5 year old son, he asked me a profound question. I have no idea how to answer it, so I thought I should take it to you. Why can’t we tickle ourselves? Any idea why we can tickle others, but not ourselves?

Pic of the Week: Samuel Strikes BackPosted by: stuartdelony in Blogroll, Children, Samuel Delony, crackers, dog, family, kids, snack time, story
My son Samuel is a genius. Well, not exactly, but when it comes to food he’s darn resourceful. He has lived within a epic battle with our terrier over snack time. Samuel is just the right size for the dog to snag his snacks away. But yesterday, man outsmarted the beast. Samuel has figured out that he can fit a whole cracker in his mouth. So when he’s handed a snack he only wants one cracker at a time. In his mouth the cracker is safe from the dog. He crams it in and walks off for a while chewing and laughing. When he’s done he comes back for another one. There are no more tears around snack time anymore, only a hungry dog. Tags: dogs, family, kids, story |
