Here is a picture from Joe Martino’s house church in Michigan (or better known as the church of Joe – it’s like Graceland with less shag carpet). I’m in this picture. First person to correctly identify where I am in the picture gets a prize mailed to them.
UPDATE: Calvin won the top prize! Second place went to Erica Martino which means you win and the Indians are in fact better than then Yankees (I used http://www.random.org/ to randomly pick a winner from the other correct guesses!)
Email your mailing addresses to sdelony@yd.org to get your prize!

I’ve got a missions jar that I’m going to take the money out and count. Any guesses? I’ll tell you how much next week. The person who guesses the closest gets a prize!
Price is Right Rules: Closest to the number with out going over wins. If you go over the amount, you’re out. [Good idea Jacki - you are wise beyond your blonde hair and love of the Florida gators]

After spending a weekend with teenagers, I thought I would bring a game we played to you guys. It’s a ‘get to know you’ game called “Two Truths and a Lie.” The name says it all, you tell two truths about yourself and one lie. The other people try to guess which one is the lie.
Here are mine.
1. I have never eaten Spam.
2. I have never been in a car wreck.
3. I used to be Chuck E. Cheese
Now it’s your turn to guess and then give your two truths and a lie…

March Madness is here! And the thing I love most - even more than the games – are the brackets and watching teams advance in them.
Well if you’ve ever wished that you could summarize other things in life into brackets, I’ve got the thing for you! It is called Bracketology.
Bracketology—the practice of parsing people, places, and things into discrete one-on-one matchups to determine which of the two is superior or preferable—works because it is simple. It is a system that helps us make clearer and cleaner decisions about what is good, better, best in our world. What could be simpler than breaking down a choice into either/or, black or white, this one or that one? [MSN]

Well, it was Super Bowl time again! This year (and most) I had no vested interest in the game, but always as a family we’re looking for any reason to have a party. The idea this year: let the kids pick who they want to win. James picked the Colts and Aida liked the Bears. So to make it fun, we decided that the boys would root for Indianapolis and the girls for Chicago.
We all dressed in team colors, my father bought the kids team hats and we wear ready to go! So with plenty of chips and salsa, the game began. It was a blast. Picking sides engaged the whole family. There was much cheering and gnashing of teeth over the next few hours, and in the end it was a great time had by all.
The results: The boy’s team won! Colts 29 Bears 17. Woo Hoo!
And here’s the reaction amongst the kids:

Next sports party idea: March Madness (we can’t wait)!
