For some reason it never hit me with the four kids I’ve had. But this month one of my best friends from growing up had his first child. Now, I’m officially old. Oh, that and I’m about to hit the big 3-0!

So break out the depends and get me a walker. I’m an old man.

I tell you, either I’m getting old or I’m just a light weight. I had a few students (who were at least 18 yr. old) buy me cigars to celebrate the new birth of my baby girl. And I’ll tell you, 3 puffs and I’m sick. I don’t know what happened to me. Back in college it was cool to have the occasional stogie, but I just can’t stomach it anymore. Ugh, I’m getting old.

Tristen’s birth also marks the end of an era. The Delony’s are off the baby making market. We’re done. Four babies before we were 30 was our goal and we’ve met it. It’s kind of a bittersweet time knowing that this will be the last one. All Tristen’s first will be our lasts as parents. But we’re also super excited to move on into a new stage of life and in our marriage. 30’s here we come!
