Ever have those time when someone just says the right thing to nourish your soul? I love it when the Lord does that through people in my life.
This morning I received a text from one of my best friends saying simply, “God is in control.”
He had no idea what my day had in store of me, but he Lord did. Those were some good words…

The bulk of this article hinges upon your religious worldview. If you don’t put much stock into Lucifer/Satan/the Devil or spiritual warfare, then click here to watch something happy and dilute yourself.
That being said…
Here is a simple three step list of how to really piss Satan off. This list is by no means comprehensive, just a few pointers that can probably be expounded upon.
Step 1: Introduce secular, pagan, non-chuched teens to Jesus
Step 2: Nurture them in a wild walk after Him
And here’s the kicker…
Step 3: Teach them to worship, I mean really sing praises to the Lord
Do steps one through three, then sit back and watch all hell break loose. It’s actually quite comical. Since Saturday we’ve had such oppression and odd circumstances happening. Sleepless nights. Credit card fraud on the ministry gas card. People trying to break in to our office. It’s only just started. Someone kicked the hornet’s nest.
Now, I’m not telling anyone to go looking for a fight… just keep tracking with the Lord and the fight comes to you. Aide others in a journey towards freedom in Christ? Have fun and look out…

“Deep Do-Do” is what some are calling it. Others are referring to it as “TEOTWAWKI” — The End Of The World As We Know It.
The stock market heading south for the winter and the economy diving into the toilet, has brought out a new breed of blogger: the urban survivalist. From stocking up on rice and beans to plans to build bunkers or schemes to move to South America and buy farms, this fear has driven many to extremes.
To check out a few colorful blogs try these:
Or this one just for kicks: Worst Case Scnerio
For some reason, I’m not bothered by the state of the world. Back at the Catalyst conference, I recall Dave Ramsey saying something that really put things into perspective – “If God is on the throne, what do we have to worry.” Sometimes we forget who’s in charge… And if anyone should be freaking, it’s me. I’m a missionary that relies upon donations/support of individuals to fund my salary and ministry. I should be afraid, but I’m not. It’s all the Lord’s and the trouble starts when I begin to think otherwise.
But I will say this, if these times do spur us to live greener, and less consumeristic – then good.
Those are my thoughts, but how do you feel about the state of the world today?

“I am learning that my tradition includes the rabbis and reformers and revolutionaries and monks and nuns and pastors and writers and philosophers and artists and every person everywhere who has asked big questions of a big God.” – Rob Bell
So my question to you is this… have you asked God any big questions lately?

It has been a beautiful week around here. Spring is happening.
I was riding home on my motorcycle yesterday and it was amazing. The air was warm and the sun was setting. It was a beautiful scene. Then I passed a field where they had just spread some fresh manure. Wow, is all I have to say. Such a pungent, encompassing aroma stings the nostrils. It made my eyes water. I stung my throat. It was one of those moments that you can’t help but feel alive. I know, you may think I’m crazy, but in that holy moment with the warm air, sunset, and manure – I knew I was alive.
So, have you felt alive lately?

“What more can be said, what greater case could be made than this: to find God, you must look with all your heart. To remain present to God, you must remain present to your heart. To hear His voice, you must listen with all your heart. To love Him, you must love with all your heart. You cannot be the person God meant you to be, and you cannot live the life you were meant to live, unless you live from the heart.”
John Eldredge – Waking the Dead

I was talking with some kids this week and none of them could say that they’ve experienced God in any tangible way. So I told them a story of a healing I’ve experienced and said that there are many more to share from other believers. So do you have any stories from your lives that made you say that God was real?
You post ‘em and I’ll read them to the students Wednesday.
