Name your top ten Christmas songs you’d put on the ultimate Xmas Mix Tape!

Here are mine:

1 O Holy Night - Trans Siberian Orchestra (hands down the best version of O Holy Night that exists)

2 Hark! The Herald Angles Sing - Brian Wilson (great harmonizing)

3 O Come! O Come! Emmanuel! Aaron Shust (the more I hear Shust, the more I like him)

4 God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Barenaked Ladies (fun, festive, need I say more?)

5 What Child is This? - Third Day (any band from Kennesaw, Ga is good in my book)

6 Blue Christmas - Elvis (he’s the king any time of the year)

7 It Came Upon a Midnight Clear - Kutless (Is there a genre that theses guys don’t do well?!)

8 Santa Claus is Coming to Town - Bruce Springsteen (this is less a pro Santa song as it is a pro Bruce song)

9 Feliz Navidad - Jose Feliciano (I know Crowder has a new version of it, but the original can’t be bested)

10 Jingle Bell Hustle - Wayne Newton  (everyone needs some cheese on Christmas)

So that’s my Xmas mix for ‘06.  What would your list be?

The International Mix Tape Project is a new club you can join on My Space. It’s like having a pen pal or a mail order bride - only better!

You join and each month you send out a homemade mix and then get one back in return. The tapes (or CD’s) come from all around the world - so you never know what you’re going to get!

Sounds pretty nifty! You should join - I’m going to!

Think of it like having a musical pen pal: “Basically, you join and each month you send out a homemade mix, and, in turn, you also receive a homemade mix,” he says. The mixes can come from anywhere in the world, so you never know what you’re going to get. Some people even mail cassettes!
