Ah, yes, today in my office it’s Minutia Monday!

minutia - small, trivial,  trifling details

In ministry, often times, we get so involved in student ministry that we forget to do the fun administrative work (i.e. crap). And from time to time, this minutia piles up. Since things have been particularly busy lately, I’ve declared a fast on all things relational or enjoyable to pave way to clear out all pending minutia. So we shall cleanse our palates and our desks. We shall rejoice today in the mundane, because tomorrow is another day (with no minutia).

So, how’s your Monday looking?

I consider myself an overall positive person. I’d also say that I’m a dreamer. And for some reason I’ve really felt my dreams assaulted lately. There’s this wave of all things negative hitting at me. Usually I find my dreams bashed by the people around me who have forgotten how to dream. It’s through their criticism, or negativity that I feel weighted down.

This is different. This time it’s not from the people around me, it’s from within me. I don’t know why, but I don’t like it. Criticism and dreams don’t mix. One will always kill the other.  And I feel it eating away at me.

I’m going to go outside for a while. To let the poison bleed from my veins and let the fresh air of creation renew me.

So all you office dwellers. Are you with me?
