We arrived home from the hospital today. Everyone is tired, but doing wonderful.  Baby and mommy are currently sleeping. I’ve been asked where we got the name from… Well, I had a sister that died when I was 13 and her name was Kirsten Haley Delony. So this little one is named in her honor.

Jacki had asked for a baby update, so here it is…

Miriam’s due date is at the end of the month. She’s progressing fine. We’re really blessed by the fact that Miriam handles extremely pregnancy well. In our circles there’s all this guessing as to when the baby’s going to be born. Why, you may ask? Well, there’s a weird trend I noticed after Samuel (our third) was born.

James was born on 3/02/02

Aida was born on 10/03/03

Samuel was born on 8/05/05

I noticed that the date of their birth was the same as the year they were born (02 of 02, 03 of 03 and 05 of 05). So there’s some speculation if the current little miss will be born either late September 07 of ‘07 or early (this Tuesday). But she just may be the one to buck the whole system. Who knows?
At this point I’m beginning to feel like Jim Carey in the movie The Number 23 (I see numbers everywhere!). But really, we’re not obsessed with numbers, just want a healthy and safe pregnancy, delivery and baby.

So keep us in your prayers as we progress towards which ever date will be my soon-to-be daughter’s birth.

I know a bunch of couples who are currently pregnant and the topic of baby name is always one that comes up. We’ve always known the names of our children, way in advance, but always tell people that we don’t name our children till their birthed. That way there’s no nay saying till it’s on the birth certificate - and near permanent.

So if you want to know our pending baby’s name… “We really don’t know it yet, you can’t name a baby properly till you actually see it. It’s a cosmic experience between you and the Lord - first laying eyes on the child - then you truly know it’s name.”  Ha ha, I’ll never tell!

Names are such an important thing. Here’s a really bad name.

I also have run into a guy with the name Richard Head. Yes, that was his given name.

So on the topic of baby names - what are some of the worst names you’ve heard?

Yep, it’s a girl. Due date: Aug 28. The numbers will now be even within our household. Aida has been partying since she got the news.

Wow, that’s commitment! If only we’d reschedule our lives for the Lord. Amazing what labor we could accomplish for Him.
