I was taking kids on a hike today and we were rocking out on some sweet 80’s tunes. So… it got me thinking about what were the greatest 80’s movie theme songs. Here’s my top 5 (plus 1) list of the Greatest 80’s Move Theme Songs:
1. The Breakfast Club - Don’t You (Forget About Me) [Simple Minds] 2. Flashdance - What a Feeling [Irene Cara] 3. Say Anything - In Your Eyes [Peter Gabriel] 4. Footloose - Footloose [Kenny Loggins] 5. St Elmo’s Fire - St. Elmo’s Fire [John Parr] 6. Back to the Future - The Power of Love [Huey Lewis and the News]
Saturdays are our pancake days. We don’t just eat any pancake, no. The Delonys are pancake oddity connoisseurs. We like to experiment with what goes into them. We’ve used cereal, pretzels, gummy bears , gorp, and more with wonderful results. But today was an experiment gone wrong. I had a youth even this week and came home with a huge bag of Doritos. One of the kids suggested we add some of them to the mix and the results were less than desirable.

So what’s cringe-worthy in your life?
Mine? My love of the Atlanta Braves. I love them, follow them, still watch them even though I’m on the west coast. I’ve got such great memories as a kid going to games when the stadium was empty and then later screaming at packed World Series games. But man, oh man, is this a painful, cringe-worthy love affair (especially the past couple of years). Being a Braves fan you develop this sickness in your stomach at some point in the game when you know it could be won, but that they’ll do something to lose it. You know it’s coming and cringe when it happens. The Atlanta Braves are my most cringe-worthy thing.
