Pray for us as we journey home. We will have 15 people crammed into a van. We’ll be tired, smelly, and sore. Pray for our safety and for the Lord’s continued hand on our trip.

Tonight will be our last night on the river. It becomes our most emotional evening. The end of our trip is near. Pray that we all remain present for what the Lord may have for us. Pray that we may remain in the moment and not beyond. Pray that we remain one as a group. Pray against distraction. Pray that we may continue to seek, ask and to knock after the Lord.

As I journey with 10 students today. Please pray for openness and breakthrough. Midway through our voyage typically sees openness and transparency. Pray that we may venture authentically together. Pray that we may earnestly seek the Lord. Pray that the Lord reveals himself to these students.

I asked you guys to pray for Mikey Lang a while back. I received this email yesterday and wanted to update you on to his progress.

“They found out in the middle of May Mikey had a tumor about the same mass size as a softball. The Langs (Mikey and his wife Bonnie) left quite abruptly and Bonnie was able to immigrate to Canada without any problems. It was diagnosed as stage 3 (of 4) Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The are living in Calgary with Mike’s parents. He has begun Chemotherapy and gets treated every 2 weeks for the next 6 months. Continue to pray for Mike’s health, the doctors are optimistic. Also though pray for their hearts. They are still trying to figure out what to do the next year as Mike is not supposed to work. So lift them up. Please pray for Mikey Lang. He and his wife Bonnie are amazing couple, friends, guides, missionaries, and fellow followers of Christ. This afternoon I found out that Mikey has a softball size tumor on his lung and will be going on May 25th for treatment in Canada. Lift Mikey and Bonnie in prayer during this time. Pray for healing, peace, and strength as they go through this time together.
