It was 9 amazing days. Great stories to tell. We experienced some unspeakable beauty. Had some raw honest moments. And as one of our guidesĀ  put it, “God really showed up and the devil wasn’t happy.”

I’m blitzed at the moment, but don’t worry you’ll get the full scoop. Thanks for all of your prayers. They were felt. They were necessary. Thank you.

Pray for us as we journey home. We will have 15 people crammed into a van. We’ll be tired, smelly, and sore. Pray for our safety and for the Lord’s continued hand on our trip.

Tonight will be our last night on the river. It becomes our most emotional evening. The end of our trip is near. Pray that we all remain present for what the Lord may have for us. Pray that we may remain in the moment and not beyond. Pray that we remain one as a group. Pray against distraction. Pray that we may continue to seek, ask and to knock after the Lord.

Bumperpalooza is being held today in Washington Park (Anacortes, WA) to rock the end of the school year and reign in the summer. It’s a free rock concert for youth, but these bands have a following and there should be tons of people there. I’m MC’ing the deal, so that should be reason enough, but if you enjoy the concerts for the music and not the dudes hosting it… here are the bands:

Afterthought Adam

Nextdoor Neighbors

Corbin Watkins

Mission Orange

The Globes

The Oregon Donor

The Lonely Forest

If you’re from the Washington/Oregon area you should make it a day trip. Concert starts at 2pm and ends at 9pm. If you come over and mention my blog to me, I’ll buy you a hot dog or maybe just bring you on stage… who knows? Hope to see you there.
